Schlossmuseum Jever

Jever, Niedersachsen

Jever's castle displays living culture from the 16th to the 19th century in its historic rooms. Highlights include the audience hall with its carved oak coffered ceiling from the late Renaissance, the princely gallery and tapestries from the late 17th century. There are also clothing and fashion, ceramics, porcelain and faience, and glimpses of rural and middle-class life. From the 67-metre castle tower you can look out over the Frisian coastal landscape in the summer season.
