Schloss Rosenau

Set in a landscaped park near Rödental, just outside Coburg, this former castle was remodelled into a ducal country house. Prince Albert, later husband of Queen Victoria, was born here and spent his boyhood in its rooms. Today the house is open as a museum, and a walk through the park shows the surroundings where he grew up.
