Schloss Nymphenburg
München, Bayern
Nymphenburg began as a modest country house and grew over two centuries into a sweeping Baroque and Rococo palace, the summer residence of Bavaria's Wittelsbach rulers. Around it you find a circular forecourt to the east and a large park to the west with canals and several smaller pavilions. The palace front stretches 632 metres, wider even than Versailles.
