Marstallmuseum
München, Bayern
The former stables in the south wing of Nymphenburg Palace now hold the Wittelsbach family's carriages. About forty state coaches, barouches, sleighs and sedan chairs from Germany, France and England trace carriage building from the late 17th to the late 19th century. Ornate harnesses, riding gear and period pictures round out the picture of travelling in court style.
