Schlickmuseum Riepe
Ihlow, Niedersachsen
This museum in Riepe documents an unusual engineering project: from 1954 to 1994, more than 100 million cubic metres of harbour silt from Emden were piped onto the Riepster Hammrich. Meadowland became productive polder land and the landscape changed for good. The museum has existed since 1996.
