Römisches Museum Remagen

Remagen, Rheinland-Pfalz

This museum tells the Roman history of Remagen inside a former chapel of St Magdalena, built of fieldstone with a Gothic chancel and tracery windows. It was converted for museum use in 1903–1905, gaining a gallery and cast-iron railings. In the cellar you can see large column bases from the entrance hall of the Roman fort's headquarters, still where they were found.
