Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck

Remagen, Rheinland-Pfalz

Old and new stand side by side here: the neoclassical railway station of Rolandseck and a modern extension by the architect Richard Meier, in Remagen on the Rhine. The art of Hans Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp is at the heart of the displays, set in dialogue with sculpture and painting by contemporary artists. The museum also shows paintings from the Middle Ages to the modern era from the Rau collection for UNICEF. Concerts, readings and a summer chamber music festival round out the programme.
