Römervilla von Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler

Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Rheinland-Pfalz

On the slope of the Silberberg lie the remains of a Roman country estate that was reused again and again from the mid-1st century onward. The main building later served as a wayside inn and an iron smelter, and an early medieval Christian cemetery followed on the site. The conserved main building is worth seeing for its well-preserved construction details and wall paintings.
