Römermuseum Kastell Boiotro
Passau, Bayern
This museum in Passau's Innstadt stands on the foundations of a late Roman fort, and remains of the fortifications can be seen outside. Inside a modernised late medieval building it shows finds from Passau and eastern Bavaria. Visitors get a view of early local history as well as of archaeological practice. The name Boiotro survives thanks to Saint Severin's writings.
