Ostenfelder Bauernhaus
Husum, Schleswig-Holstein
A Low German hall house from the 17th century was moved from Ostenfeld to Husum in 1899 and is regarded as Germany's oldest open-air museum. Inside are the broad threshing floor flanked by cattle stalls, the open hearth and box beds. The Pesel of 1670 and the Döns of 1789, with rich carving and tiles, show the finer living quarters. Tools and household goods give a picture of farm life.
