Young Fryderyk Chopin stayed in the village of Szafarnia, and the manor house here now keeps his memory alive. Visitors find mementos tied to his time in the countryside, and the place has hosted Chopin concerts since 1949. The house was thoroughly restored after a fire in 1979.
