Obstmuseum Pomarium Anglicum
Sörup, Schleswig-Holstein
Old fruit varieties are the subject here, grown in an orchard at Winderatt not far from the Flensburg Fjord. Many carry curious names drawn from families, places of origin, shape or taste: the Jessenapfel, the Schöner von Nordhausen, the Mönchskopf or the Champagnerrenette. Among the trees you can find out why the Gelber Eutiner became a Holsteiner Cox.
