Museumsberg Flensburg

Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein

On a rise above the municipal theatre, two museum buildings, the old cemetery and Christiansen Park form a single ensemble. Across about 3,000 square metres, the museum covers the art and cultural history of the Schleswig region from the 13th to the 20th century, plus contemporary art. It grew from the decorative-arts collection of Flensburg joiner Heinrich Sauermann.
