Muzeum Sportu i Turystyki w Karpaczu

Karpacz, dolnośląskie

Set in an eighteenth-century timber-framed house, this museum traces the history of tourism, sport and nature conservation in the Karkonosze mountains. The permanent exhibition looks at the people who worked in the hills, such as miners, glassmakers, woodcutters, shepherds and herb gatherers, and includes a colourful ceramic figure of Rzepiór, the legendary Spirit of the Mountains. The collections also hold badges, posters, costumes, sports gear and travel accessories.
