Muzeum romské kultury

Brno, Jihomoravský kraj

Set on Bratislavská Street in Brno's Zábrdovice district, the heart of the local Romani community, this museum documents the culture and history of the Roma and Sinti. Its collection holds around 25,000 items covering many different Romani groups and communities. The story goes back to a collection of traditional Romani blacksmithing that historian Bartoloměj Daniel gathered in the 1960s. There is also a specialist library of Romani literature and press, and since 2020 the museum has been developing a centre in Prague.
