Moravské zemské muzeum

Brno, Jihomoravský kraj

Moravia's largest museum is spread over several buildings and covers history, natural science and the arts. Its main seat is the Baroque Dietrichstein Palace on Zelný trh in Brno's old centre, built in the early 17th century. The prehistoric archaeology and anthropology collections are the highlight, housed in the Anthropos Pavilion. In all, the holdings run to several million objects from many fields of science and culture.
