Muzeum Parafialne w Paszynie

Paszyn, małopolskie

In the village of Paszyn, beside the parish church, this museum shows religious sculpture and painting by folk artists: images of the Virgin Mary, the Man of Sorrows, a Pietà, and Biblical scenes such as the Nativity, the Crucifixion and the flight into Egypt. Works by local carvers also furnish the church itself, from the pulpit and Stations of the Cross to the confessionals. It opened in 1994 and is named after Father Edward Nitka, who encouraged folk art here.
