Muzeum Pszczelarstwa w Stróżach

Stróże, małopolskie

An open-air museum about bees and the people who keep them. One exhibition looks inside a hive and follows how honey is made; another covers the history of beekeeping, its tools and books from the 17th to 19th centuries. Outdoors stand more than a hundred hives, many in playful shapes such as a monk, a devil or a highlander's cottage. Two hives date from 1822, a log hive and a straw-skep hive.
