This art museum was founded in Lviv in 1823 and has been in Wrocław since 1995. Its collections, nearly 319,000 items in all, are split between art and numismatics and focus on Polish history, especially the former eastern borderlands and Lviv. Among the treasures are European master drawings from the 15th to 19th centuries, including the largest collection of Rembrandt drawings in Poland. The coin collection is also rich, with Polish, foreign and ancient pieces.
