Muzeum Historii Polskiego Ruchu Ludowego

Warszawa, mazowieckie

The story of the Polish countryside and its peasant politics is told here in the Yellow Tavern, an 1850s villa in Warsaw's Mokotów district. Inside are keepsakes of movement activists, letters of Wincenty Witos, papers from the Polish People's Party in exile, and paintings and sculpture by self-taught village artists. Sculptures of movement figures also stand in the garden around the house, which is worth a stroll.
