Museum Schloß Hohenlimburg

High above the Lenne valley, Schloss Hohenlimburg is the only medieval hilltop castle in Westphalia that has largely kept its original form. A visit takes in the outer bailey with its salute cannons, the courtyard, the garden, the wall walk and the dungeon. One exhibition is devoted to the Black Hand, a mummified medieval hand tied to a tale of a nobleman's boy who struck his mother. The castle also offers wide views over the valley.
