Museum Markt Kösching

Kösching, Bayern

In a former convent of the Poor School Sisters, this museum shows how people in the district have lived from the Old Stone Age to today. The archaeology section runs from Neolithic cultures through the Bronze and Iron Ages to the Roman fort and the Bavarian settlers. Highlights include a quadruple burial from the Corded Ware period and the well-preserved Kösching milestone of AD 201. More recent history is on the upper floor.
