Bayerisches Armeemuseum

Ingolstadt, Bayern

Bavaria's military history is the subject here, with the main collection housed in Ingolstadt's New Castle. A permanent exhibition on the First World War fills the Reduit Tilly, and the Turm Triva holds the police museum that belongs to it. One visit therefore takes you through several historic buildings in the town. The museum began in Munich in 1879 and has been in Ingolstadt since 1972.
