Museum Herxheim
Herxheim bei Landau/Pfalz, Rheinland-Pfalz
An 18th-century half-timbered house holds finds from the earliest phase of the Neolithic. The focus is the Herxheim ritual site, a ditch enclosure where the remains of more than 500 people were found. On show are a reconstructed section of the ditch and one of the few regular burials from the site. Regional cultural history and a small museum garden complete the visit.
