Museum Haus Dix
Gaienhofen, Baden-Württemberg
Otto Dix lived and painted here. His family had this three-storey house built on the Höri peninsula in 1936, after he lost his professorship in Dresden in 1933. It has large studio windows, a wraparound balcony and views over the Untersee. Now a museum belonging to the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, it lets you see the painter's former home and studio.
