Museum Fischerhaus

Wangen, Baden-Württemberg

The focus here is finds from Stone Age pile-dwelling settlements, including original pieces from Kaspar Löhle, who in 1854 was the first to discover lake dwellings in Germany. The Wangen-Hinterhorn sites have been UNESCO World Heritage since 2011. The museum occupies a timber-framed house built in 1618, saved from demolition and moved to the lakeshore in 1986.
