Just below the church in Rubenheim, the former Hepp inn is an early 18th-century farmhouse and a fine example of a southwest German single-roof house. Over three floors, the museum shows everyday life of ordinary people in the Saar region in the 19th and 20th centuries: farm tools, early ploughs, yarn processing, kitchens and toilets. Its particular focus is a collection on superstition, notable well beyond the region.
