Römermuseum Schwarzenacker

Homburg, Saarland

This open-air museum presents excavations and reconstructed houses of a Gallo-Roman town on the main road to Trier, destroyed around 275. More than 2,000 people lived here, and about one hectare has been uncovered so far. A Baroque manor house displays finds from Roman daily life, and a Baroque garden belongs to the grounds. It lies within the Bliesgau biosphere reserve.
