Museum der Stille

Berlin, Berlin

A place to slow down in the middle of Berlin-Mitte. The Russian painter Nikolai Makarov founded it in 1994 so that visitors could experience stillness, physically and mentally. You will find two wall-filling grisaille paintings by him and seven utopian architectural models for buildings of silence, by architects including Stephan Braunfels, Max Dudler and Sergei Tchoban.
