Museum Altomünster

Altomünster was the last German house of the Brigittine order, and this specialist museum tells its church history. It opened in 1997 in two renovated houses, timed to the 500th anniversary of the order taking over the monastery. A gallery hosts changing exhibitions, so the museum also works as a small cultural centre. It won the Bavarian Museum Prize in 2001.
