Moormuseum Moordorf

This open-air museum on about three hectares of bog tells of two centuries of an East Frisian moor colony. Huts and houses show the hard life of settlers who came after the 1765 edict on reclaiming the land. Displays cover peat cutting, moor burning, crafts and working techniques. A boardwalk leads across a patch of raised bog to a viewing platform.
