Mauzoleum i muzeum na Radogoszczu

Julianów-Marysin-Rogi, łódzkie

A memorial on the site of a German police prison set up in 1940 in a former textile factory. On the night of 17 to 18 January 1945 the guards set fire to the main building with about 1,500 prisoners inside. Today a mausoleum and a museum on Zgierska Street tell the story of the suffering and resistance here. It is a sobering visit and an important one for understanding the city's wartime history.
