LVR-Freilichtmuseum Lindlar

Lindlar, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Spread over about 30 hectares in the Bergisches Land, this open-air museum shows how country people lived and worked here over the past few centuries. Four groups of buildings, each a small village of its own, hold around 40 buildings in all and stand for different periods, so you can see how everyday life changed. The themes include ecology and traditional farming and craft culture. It opened in 1998 and is among the more recent open-air museums in Germany.
