Erstes Deutsches Engel-Museum Engelskirchen

Engelskirchen, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Around 15,000 angels from around the world fill the old locksmith's workshop of a former cotton mill. The ceiling is painted as a blue sky with small clouds, about 200 angels hang from it, paintings of angels cover the walls and smaller figures sit in display cases. Themes range from faith and folk piety to guardian angels and angels of death. The collection was already listed in the Guinness Book of Records in 2002.
