Luftfahrtmuseum Wernigerode

Wernigerode, Sachsen-Anhalt

Four halls covering about 6,000 square meters hold around 50 restored aircraft and helicopters, mostly from the post-1945 era. Ejection seats, cockpits, engines, navigation instruments, pilots' gear and models fill out the display, and cutaway models explain how it all works. A few restored cars and a diving apparatus are also on show, about 1,000 items in all, in a former factory hall.
