Harzmuseum Wernigerode

Close to the town hall, the Harz Museum gives a compact introduction to the Harz. Across about 400 square metres, the permanent exhibition moves from fossils, minerals and historic mining, shown with moving models, to wildlife, the forest and the history of Wernigerode. Half-timbered building, crafts, industrialisation and tourism are covered with original pieces from the region.
