Lettl Museum für surreale Kunst

Augsburg, Bayern

This museum is devoted to the Surrealist paintings of Wolfgang Lettl, with 131 works from 1942 to 2007 on show across roughly 650 square metres. Alongside the Surrealist pictures there are some Impressionist works too. There are deliberately no explanatory texts, so the paintings speak for themselves. It sits in the city centre between Königsplatz and the Zeughaus, in a former furniture store that opened as a museum in 2019.
