Lehár-Villa

Bad Ischl, Oberösterreich

Composer Franz Lehár spent nearly every summer here after buying the villa in 1912. Visitors see furniture from several periods, paintings, clocks and sculptures, in rooms kept much as he lived in them. Ten laurel wreaths hang in one room, awarded for his most successful operettas, and most of them were written in the large study. The villa stands on the bank of the Traun.
