Landsynagoge Heubach
Kalbach, Hessen
This half-timbered house of 1843 in Heubach is a well-preserved, carefully restored village synagogue, now a museum. The two-storey prayer hall with a women's gallery sits on one side; the other held classrooms, a mikveh and the teacher's home. Separate entrances for women and men are among the few features that mark its Jewish architecture.
