Deutsches Feuerwehr-Museum
Fulda, Hessen
From leather buckets to turntable ladders and fire engines, this museum covers the history of firefighting from the Middle Ages to today across 1,600 square metres. You will see box pumps, hand pumps and vehicles by Magirus, Hanomag-Henschel, MAN and Mercedes-Benz. The large machines stand in pits ringed by raised walkways, so children and wheelchair users get a clear view too.
