Schloss Fasanerie

On a wooded hill about seven kilometres from Fulda, this Baroque palace sits in an English landscape garden of around 100 hectares. It began around 1710 as a modest country lodge for the Prince-Abbots of Fulda and was grandly extended in the 18th century. Inside are a major collection of classical art, Baroque and 19th-century interiors, rare porcelain and historical portraits.
