Modern and contemporary art is the focus of this museum at the southern end of Wolfsburg's pedestrian zone. It sits in the middle of town, close to the Alvar Aalto cultural centre, the theatre, the planetarium and the CongressPark. Its programme picks up themes that suit a city founded only in 1938: modernity, urban life and international outlook. The museum opened in 1994.
