Kunstmuseum Schwaan
Schwaan, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
An old water mill in Schwaan now houses paintings by the town's artists' colony of the 19th and 20th centuries, spread over about 600 square metres. The focus is on expressive landscapes that show what drew painters to this corner of Mecklenburg. Further exhibitions link the colony to other artists' colonies or present contemporary work. The mill has served as an art museum since 2002.
