Just beneath the Rhine embankment promenade, this contemporary art space occupies a leftover chamber from the building of the Rhine tunnel. A glazed entrance pavilion with a small bistro leads by stairs down into a gently curving room 140 metres long, tapering from eight metres wide to one. Two armoured-glass light shafts let daylight in from above.
