Kulturhistorisches Museum (Mühlhausen/Thüringen)

Mühlhausen/Thüringen, Thüringen

A Neo-Renaissance schoolhouse on the Lindenbühl is now the main building of the Mühlhausen museums. The permanent displays run from the prehistory and early history of the Unstrut-Hainich district to the story of Mühlhausen itself, with a section on Thuringian art. The house was built as a grammar school in 1868–70, and a gap was cut into the town wall to make room for it. It has been a museum since 1928 and was thoroughly modernised in 2013.
