Apothekenmuseum

Bad Langensalza, Thüringen

At the core of this collection is the fittings of the Löwen-Apotheke from Eschwege, founded in 1598, supplemented by further historic pharmacy equipment. The museum fills 276 square metres of Haus Rosenthal, dating from 1515 and one of the oldest half-timbered houses in town. The building itself has uncovered wooden parlours from 1467 and 1515, painted wall panelling and a stucco ceiling from 1693.
