Keramikmuseum Westerwald

Höhr-Grenzhausen, Rheinland-Pfalz

In the Kannenbäckerland, where clay has been worked for centuries, this museum traces the history of ceramics across four floors. The focus is the salt-glazed stoneware of the Westerwald, alongside showpiece vessels from the Renaissance, Art Nouveau pieces and work by contemporary ceramicists. Tools, model kilns and objects from craft, design and art show how clay is worked. The displays cover around 2,000 square metres.
