Hein's Mühle

Bendorf, Rheinland-Pfalz

This water mill on the Brexbach stream in Sayn probably dates back to the mid-16th century and was likely first an oil mill. It was later converted into a tobacco mill and then a grain mill. Around 1900 the Hein family fitted it with a modern milling plant and an iron wheel 3.80 metres across. Milling stopped for good in 1961.
