Keltengrabhügel Hochdorf

Eberdingen, Baden-Württemberg

On the edge of Hochdorf stands a reconstructed Hallstatt-period burial mound, about six metres high and 60 metres across. Around 550 BC a Celtic chieftain was laid to rest here with rich grave goods. The village museum shows mainly replicas of the finds from the grave excavated in 1978, along with an introduction to Celtic daily life. From the mound you look east toward the Hohenasperg.
