Johann Adolf Hasse Museum

Hamburg, Hamburg

This museum in Hamburg's Composers Quarter is devoted to the opera composer Johann Adolph Hasse. It traces him from childhood in a Bergedorf family of church musicians to an international career at European courts alongside his wife, the singer Faustina Bordoni. The collection includes libretti, historic printed scores, stage designs and costumes, plus a replica of a baroque opera stage. Multimedia stations add to the display, and the museum is wheelchair accessible.
